    Bay Area takes a big hit

    California is most definitely one of the most affected regions during the housing crisis, which is still occurring until today. The culprit? Cheap loans and lax lending policies which started during the 90's. Now, housing markets will have a long way to go before it actually recovers and gain growth. For now, policy makers will have to worry about the free falling property prices.
