What inspired you to launch your own website?

We purchased 2 condos on the beach and launched our own website as a way of promoting our condos for rent.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The name Blue Sun Properties came from the fact that we own duplexes in Kentucky (The Blue Grass State) and we own condos in Florida (The Sunshine State). We put them together to form Blue Sun Properties.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our goal is to maintain the site ourselves and add additional condos for rent. We would like to manage a small amount of condos for other private condo owners. We will eventually add searchable availability calendars and additional features to help vacationers find their perfect vacation get away.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We have just started, but we feel this is a labor of love and success would just be gravy for us.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I believe we would be able to keep up with demand by hiring additional talent and automating several of our more mundane tasks.
