    Name of your website?

    GETASPACELIFT

    Your name?

    Lisa Roy

    Your Location (city, etc)

    Greater vancouver

Please give us a short summary of your website?

SPACELiFT is a Home Staging and Redesign company servicing the Greater Vancouver area. We have over 20 years of experince in the design field which sets us apart from local staging companies. Our background includes interior design and visual merchandising and display. All of our stagers are certifed professionals with experience in the field.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Generate business and to have somwhere that clients could find relevent and updated information about home staging.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

    2007 and it was www.getaspacelift.ca

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Wanted something fun and thought about SPACELiFT being a facelift for your space.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I offer a downloadable gift certificate and a blog to keep things fresh for viewers. I try to have an educational element to the website as well so people can learn something about the staging business in general.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Continue growing the company and making home staging a neccesary step for home owners in selling a property.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It is finally starting to shift after 1 year in business.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Would do a lot more advertising and marketing

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

    definitely

What has been your biggest challenge?

The economy and educating people that home staging doesn't have to be expensive. It is so important when a property is listed for sale that it be presented right, that is what successful retailers have been doing for years.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

    Blogging on Active Rain

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

No, it is a lot of work because I am constantly changing and updating to keep it fresh for my clients.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I will keep running it as long as I have the company.

    Why is Home Staging important?

You only have a few minutes to impress potential buyers when they are viewing your property, both on MLS and when they walk through the door. Staging can help turn that first impression into a sale, helping the home owner sell the property quicker and for potentially more money.

When you put your property on the market, it is important to know that it isn't "your home" any more, it is a product on the market with competition. Your proeperty must be priced right and look better than the other similar properties on the market. With so many options available for buyers your home needs to stand out from the competition. Your investment needs to appeal to as many of those potential buyers as possible.

Home Staging can give your home that edge needed to compete in today's Real Estate market.

    What is your website address?
